Google is the number one internet search engine use worldwide, even to the point of becoming a verb for searching information online. Anything you could possibly think of is available at your fingertips, whether it’s information regarding research, looking for recipes or images, to locating and identifying nearby businesses.
Google is now actively used as a tool for businesses to advertise, and as a primary source for most customers to find information about a business. Google amalgamates a variety of information about the business, such a geographic location, business hours, contact information, website address, and the like so that customers browsing Google can easily determine what business suits their needs. One of these functions provided by Google are Google Reviews, a measure of the customers experience. Customers can quickly and conveniently provide a 5-star rating and description of their experience with any business listed on Google, offering a public and transparent way for businesses to monitor feedback and be accountable to their customer base.
Lessons for Others
Using Google Reviews, which are one of the most popular reviewing platforms due to the popularity of Google itself, is a very straight forward and simple way for businesses to get feedback for supply chain management from their customers. If a customer has a complaint and it is voiced on Google, businesses are obligated to resolve this issue to maintain high ratings with their customers, and because most businesses strive for that 5-Star review, businesses that solicit Google Reviews need to maintain a high level of service.
