CordCruncher: It’s simple, it’s easy, it makes sense! CordCruncher knows the importance of social media and measuring metrics.  According to Aaron of Loyalty Solutions Digital Solutions Inc , third party digital service provider for CordCruncher, “measuring social media metrics of what was working and what didn’t work is important to understand customer’s behaviors”.

In an interview with Aaron, CordCruncher’s goal, like most businesses is to engage customers and to increase sales.  They wanted to align their business goals with social media as much as possible.  Their strategy was simple: track website traffic/impressions and analyze which photo images attracted most traffic.  Aaron explains “initially our client CordCruncher used regular stock photos however, it did not generate as much traffic as they hoped, so we invested some time and money and scheduled customized photo and video sessions.  We took specific product shots, hired models to show case products and also did demonstration videos”.  As a result of this investment website traffics grew and the number of clicks per video/photos grew 20%.

Loyalty Digital Solutions Inc. also offers SEO (Search Engine Optimization) Services. Part of the SEO services is monthly consultation using tools such as SEMRUSH and Google Analytics to further review and measure results. “With these analytic tools, we are able to see the amount of hits generated from social media posts, alongside all other blog posts and web searches. This was imperative to review on a monthly basis as we wanted to track all marketing avenues and see how they play off each other.”

Lessons for Others

When using social media as a marketing tool it is important to also measure results – To find out what works and what doesn’t.  Social media trends are dynamic and constantly changing and by analyzing social media metrics and data, businesses can invest their time and money where it counts and change their marketing strategy accordingly.
